The Bureau of Local Assessment has completed its preliminary review of the Town of Rowe's revaluation program and proposed assessments for all classes of property for fiscal year 2012. The Bureau's statistical analysis of arms-length residential sales indicated compliance with the Commissioner's standards for certification. In addition, the Bureau's review of a representative sample of parcels and of personal property accounts indicated a consistent application of the valuation methodologies employed for these classes of property throughout the community.
The town is now authorized by the Bureau to proceed with the appropriate public disclosure process necessary to receive final certification for these property classes. The Assessors Office has posted these values at the Town Hall (also attached above) and are being sent to all property owners that reside out of town. Following the public disclosure period the Assessors will hold office hours to meet with any property owners that have questions concerning their values. Any appropriate adjustments will then be made, and final certification approval will be sought from the Bureau.
Land & Building Values for the previous reval (FY2009) and a LUC (Land Use Code) table are also attached.
If you have any questions, please contact Assessors' Clerk Sandy Daviau at 413-339-5520 ext 19, or at collector@rowe-ma.gov. Thank you.
